The Coastal Habitat Awareness Project (CHAP) is a free interactive learning experience designed to raise awareness of the diverse array of life living in rock pools and seagrass, local coastal habitats and the interactions between them.
The project provides opportunities to participate in activities to conserve and protect our coastal environment.
The course features expert tutors, talks, and field trips for you to learn about our precious coastal ecosystems and their inhabitants, and is suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.
The project has been funded through Lake Macquarie City Council’s Environmental Sustainability Grants program and Ocean and Coastal Care Initiatives (OCCI) Lake Macquarie-Newcastle Arm.
Come along to an information session on Wednesday 8 October, to find out more.
