Volunteer Call Out – Hunter Memory Walk & Jog 2014

The Hunter Memory Walk & Jog is on again on Sunday 24 August 2014, raising funds for Alzheimer’s Australia NSW.

The Hunter Dementia and Memory Resource Centre reaches across eleven local government areas and communities across the Hunter, providing support services, education and social research. The Hunter Memory Walk & Jog is hoping to raise $200,000 in our region to help Alzheimer’s Australia to continue providing these much-needed resources.

Volunteers are needed to help make the day a success. There are many volunteer positions available on the day and in the lead up to the event at Speers Point Park.

There will be a one hour volunteer briefing in the week prior to the event. On the day of the walk, volunteers will need to arrive by 6am. You will be provided with a bottle of water, lunch voucher and a Memory Walk & Jog t-shirt.

To find out more about volunteering at the Hunter Memory Walk & Jog, contact Volunteer Coordinator Diana Waring on 02 8875 4631 or email diana.waring@alzheimers.org.au
