The University of Newcastle is proud to be part of the dynamic community of the Central Coast with its campus at Ourimbah and partnerships with a diverse range of organisations and groups that drive innovation and build the intellectual and creative capital of the region.
From small beginnings in July 1989 when 89 UON students were enrolled in business and humanities courses, through to today with a record 4,500 students enrolled in a diverse range of programs and courses, the Central Coast campus is catering to the higher-education needs of the Central Coast community, by providing learning opportunities to suit people from all backgrounds.
With a focus on allied health, and the provision of hands-on learning opportunities, UON Central Coast offers programs in the fields of oral health, podiatry, exercise and sport science, food science and human nutrition and marine science.
A record number of students are undertaking Research Higher Degrees at at UON Central Coast Ourimbah campus, and are supported by the mutually-beneficial research relationships that UON has with its business, government and industry partners on the Central Coast.
The University of Newcastle will celebrate the Central Coast campus milestone anniversary throughout 2014 with a number of celebrations.
