Port Macquarie Bachelor of Nursing celebrates 10th anniversary

Throughout 2014 the University of Newcastle has been celebrating its first decade in Port Macquarie, marking ten years of educating professionals who are making a significant contribution to the health and education of their local communities and beyond.

More than 150 registered nurses educated at the Port Macquarie campus are now working in local hospitals throughout the region – including Forster-Tuncurry, Taree, Wauchope, Kempsey and Port Macquarie.

This week UON’s School of Nursing and Midwifery invites past and present students to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Bachelor of Nursing program in Port Macquarie, and the third year of the Bachelor of Midwifery program.

A ten year celebration and completion ceremony for current students will be held on Friday, 28 November from 5pm at the Westport Club. All former nursing students from the Port Macquarie campus are invited to participate and make this an evening to remember.

For more information or to RSVP to the event, please contact Gunilla Haydon on 02 6581 6357 or email Gunilla.Haydon@newcastle.edu.au .
