NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards

The NSW Volunteer of the Year Award recognises the outstanding efforts of more than two million volunteers in NSW, as well as promoting the importance of volunteering to the community.

Launched in 2007 by The Centre for Volunteering, this annual awards program recognises Youth, Student, Adult and Senior volunteers, volunteer teams, corporate volunteers, corporate volunteer teams and not-for-profit organisations.

The winners of each of the four major categories (Youth (24 years and under), Student (primary, secondary, vocational or tertiary study), Adult (25 to 64 years) and Senior (65 years and over) will be eligible for the award of Volunteer of the Year in their region and will go on to the State finals in their category.

Individual and Team nominations close on Sunday, 31 August. To find out how to nominate, click here.

The Hunter Regional Ceremony takes place on Tuesday, 14 October 2014 at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, with the State Award Ceremony on Friday, 5 December.
