North Coast TAFE Student of the Year
Congratulations to nursing student Sally Avery, who recently received three awards at the North Coast TAFE Student Recognition Awards.
Sally’s achievements included the two top awards of student of the year and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student of the year, as well as the student recognition award in the community services and health category, sponsored by the University of Newcastle.
The judging panel recognised Sally with the three awards because of her commitment to excellence while managing the rigorous demands of her qualification along with employment, caring for her family and contributing to the local Aboriginal community.
The University of Newcastle is a regional university partner of North Coast TAFE, sharing the Port Macquarie Campus.
