UON Central Coast was among the crowd at last week’s Mariners versus Jets game to educate fans about the possibilities of pursuing a career in sport science.
Students from the Exercise and Sport Science degree chatted to fans on their way to the game about their experiences and the degree as part of an initiative being organised through the Gosford City Council.
Community Spirit events have been designed to coincide with the Mariner’s games at Blue Tongue Stadium where a variety of market stalls are set up along Dane Drive prior to kick-off.
A variety of strength and flexibility testing was conducted at the UON Central Coast stall throughout the afternoon.
As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, UON Central Coast is collaborating with Gosford and Wyong Shire councils on several community engagement initiatives that will be held throughout the year. These activities will raise community awareness and showcase a number of the degree programs offered locally by the University.
