Design Day Inspires Creative Constructions

Recently the School of Architecture and Built Environment hosted an architectural Design Day with studio activities for visiting year 8 students from Merewether High.

Mentored by Master of Architecture students, they used industrial waste products from Reverse Garbage, Sydney to construct architectural models for a range of hypothetical eccentric clients – including an artist with an exotic bird collection and an astronaut with a Lionel Ritchie obsession.

The budding architects rose to the challenge – testing out their problem-solving skills and creative vision
