CareerHub connects employers with students

With over 35,000 students to draw from, the University of Newcastle is ideally placed to provide employers in the region and beyond with a wealth of potential employees and volunteers.

The University’s CareerHub advertising system is a valuable tool for connecting employers and organisations with these students and graduates. Employers can register on CareerHub to advertise positions, to attend Career Expos and to hold on-campus information sessions with the purpose of connecting with our students. CareerHub gives employers the freedom to create their own job advertisements, manage their own organisation’s details and to tailor profiles and advertise to a specific target audience.

CareerHub is not just for large employers, but also for not-for-profit organisations seeking volunteers and individuals offering home-based jobs like tutoring or gardening. There is no cost to advertise on CareerHub and as a result organisations can save hundreds of dollars by using CareerHub rather than other online recruitment sites.

The staff at the Careers Service attempt to maintain a 24 hour turn-around period for all advertisements listed via CareerHub. Listed jobs can be visible to thousands of students and graduates within a day. The Careers Service aims to make the advertising process hassle free to ensure that employers and organisations can access the eager and capable students of the University of Newcastle.
