2014 Hunter and Central Coast School Leavers Expos for Students with Disability

Need help with planning life after school? You may not think of yourself as having a ‘disability’ but the definition is broad and includes learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, medical conditions, mental illness, physical conditions, sensory impairment, intellectual disability, and much more.

The 2014 Hunter and Central Coast School Leavers Expos for Students with Disability are for students, families, staff who support students/clients with disability or ongoing medical conditions, as well as anyone involved in career and transition planning.

Representatives from services specialising in disability support are looking forward to meeting students, families and staff to discuss what pathways are available post-school.

These include the University of Newcastle, TAFE and other training providers, Australian Apprenticeship Centres, Employment Services (DES and JSA), Australian Disability Enterprises, Post School Program Providers, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Ability Links, National Disability Coordination Officer ProgramAboriginal Employment Strategy staff and NSW Companion Cards.
